Unforsaken Words….

Once you hear the…

Squiggly letters that fly together, creating the horrid sentence of:

“I don’t think I can l-o-v-e”

Hold your breath
Scream if you must

But believe. Be that little child that believes in the magical world of fairies. Twinkling stars in a flying night.

And run. Run far away or the twinkling lights of your night will dim your soul as this is truth.

, “I don’t think I can love”

Respect Yourself

I constantly read poems on how one would keep going back to their lovers even after their heart was broken. All for one more kiss. One more hug. One more chance. Fuck that. You break my heart and you’re screwed. I will keep going forward and never look back.

Like the typical saying goes (with my twist). Hurt me once, shame on YOU, Hurt me twice, shame on ME, Hurt me a third time, it’s my damn fault for even allowing a third and now my heart is cold as ice.

It’s all about respecting yourself. Respect yourself enough to not allow another human being to hurt you.

Have you ever felt it?
That pain in your heart?
That pressure in your head?
That uncertain feeling?

Well, we live among people.
Humans. Us. Men. Women.
We all mean well.

People will shake your hand.

People will smile at you.

People will talk to you.

But, then I start thinking…..
I don’t believe people mean to be mean,
I don’t believe people mean to be rude,
I don’t believe people mean to hurt you.

But hurt happens.
People will be people.
Humans will be humans.

All People at the beginning,
always mean well.

You take their word.
You believe them.
You trust them.

That’s when everything SHATTERS!

It’s as if you just dropped your favorite drinking glass.
That glass you bought at that one vintage store.
You know, the one everyone wants.
The one with Leah and Chubacka on it.
It’s your prized possession.
You do not let ANYONE drink out of it.
Well, it’s as if it was a hot sweaty day, like today.
Your palms are sweaty.
You pick up your glass for a drink of water.
And BAM, there in slow motion, it falls to the ground.
It SHATTERS into teeny, tiny pieces.

You don’t know what to do.
You don’t know what to think.
You stand there in shock!

You take a step back,
not because you’ll step on the teeny, tiny pieces of glass,
not because if you take a step, you’ll cut your foot and bleed like crazy,
BUT, you take a step back because it hurts.
Your heart hurts
Your chest hurts,
Your head hurts,
Your eyes hurt.

My Leah and Chubaka glass has been SHATTERED!!

I get my broom and begin to sweep UP,
I pick up each and every SHATTERED piece,
I lay each SHATTERED piece onto my bare hand,
Piece by piece,
until my hands are full,
Full of broken pieces.

Then I take a step,
A step under the night sky where the moon lives.
I say good-bye because my glass is broken.

My mouth curls up as if I am about to blow bubbles for a sweet child,
I blow onto my palm where my broken pieces lie.
I blow up to the sky,
where the moon and stars reside.
I blow all the broken pieces into the dark, starry night.

I release them up to nothingness,
I release them where they will diminish,
I release them where all the pain will be forgotten,
I release them where they shall float away,
I release them where my shattered pieces shall stay.

Thoughts of you.

I sit and think of you,

Where are you, you fool?

The love I had for you was so true.

I never gave you my heart,

Somehow, it leaked out.

Thoughts of you always shine,

The times we had, will forever be mine.

It used to hurt so bad,

Of course, I was always sad.

Years have gone by and I still wonder why?

But that’s a good thing,

Because you never had to try.

You were my heaven,

I was your soul .

Until next time,

There will always be that hole……

Night, Night, Night….

The night is here and you are ever so young,

I’ve awaited you like the new bringing dawn,

I scrimmaged at the sun today, as it was not fun,

You should have come quicker at the sunset of sums,

Night, Night, you are ever so young,

I cringed for your darkness like a vampire for the young,

I’d rather hide today in your deep, deep-sea,

For tomorrow is anew and I will be clean,

Night, Night, you are ever so young,

The stillness of your love is nothing compared,

To the sun who shines abiding the life,

I wanted you to creep on this long-full trife,

But your here now, so let’s have this escapade!

Night, Night, you are ever so young,

Take my sorrows with you and run, run, run,

I want to wake up anew with the sun,

good-bye to you and to all who are undone….

Don’t Ask!!

The cringing of asking that taboo question.

Don’t Ask!  Don’t Ask!  Don’t Ask!

But, I sit and wonder,

Her heart wonders,

Her brain wonders,

Her life wonders,

Don’t Ask! Don’t Ask!  Don’t Ask!

She lays with you and feels the beating of your heart,

She see’s your eyes, and they are fully alert,

She feels your hugs and they feel true to her heart,

She hears your voice and its kind like hers.

Don’t Ask!  Don’t Ask! Don’t Ask!

All is good.  All is great.  She loves where it is.

No complaints,

No issues,

She loves where its at,

But the wonders are still there…

Don’t Ask!  Don’t Ask!  Don’t Ask!

We go further around,

We both open up,

You can see who I am,

And I can see who you are,

We take that next step,

I jump in the ride,

It’s great as always,

Nothing to hide,

Don’t Ask!  Don’t Ask!  Don’t Ask!

But she hears of others,

she wonders, why not her,

he says don’t take it personal,

but it’s hard, when your both always together,

The flutters begin,

The heart begins to pound,

The want of needing to know,

But the hidden answer will most likely hurt,

Don’t Ask!  Don’t Ask!  Don’t Ask!

She fights it,

He says don’t do it,

She can’t help it,

She wants to know!

Don’t you listen?

Do you really want to know?

Don’t Ask!  Don’t Ask!  Don’t Ask!

What is your deal?

Is meant, why not me?

You had that one who is crazy,

And that one who cheated,

But she sheds internal tears because it hurts oh so bad,

She wants to know, she fights, SHE FIGHTS IT, SHE FIGHTS IT!

It comes out!  Oh no, go back in!  Go back in!  Go back in!

The fighting, can’t stop it!

The heart wants to know,

She Asks!  She Asks!  She Asks!

And the tears roll down her face,

Her heart feels the pain,

The rejection is the rain,

She tumbles to a ball,

She can’t see that smile,

The gray cloud has overcome her,

The tears is all she hears,

You should have listened!

You should have listened!

You should have listened!
