Fathers are Awesome!

Standard

It’s that time of the year to say thank you to all those “fathers” who have stepped up and provided for a child physically, mentally and emotionally.

A father is not just a man who “created” life. A “father” is a man who has taken the reigns and provided by their own will. It may be a grandfather, uncle, brother, family friend, or a step-father.

Fathers day is a special day because of the lack of fathers out in the world. Mothers (most) have an instinctual guide to help us parent. Fathers do not (most). I believe this is why it is so easy for so many men to walk away from their own children.

This is why I give father figures the utmost respect because they have taken on a role by their own choice. They have a special kindness in their hearts to embrace the love children give.

Happy Fathers day yesterday, today and tomorrow!

To my own father, thank you for showing me what unconditional love looks and feels like. Thank you for teaching me how to ride a bike, which taught me determination. Thank you for correcting my grammar, which has helped me sound “somewhat intelligent” (haha).  Thank you for being my parent. I love you. I miss YOU. You are in my “Strawberry Fields” forever 🍓.

Simple Love ❤

Standard

There are many single people in the world who ask, “when will I find my love?”

There are couples who have been together for a very long time and wonder, “where did our love go”.

We all want love! But the real question is, “what is love”? Everyone has their own meaning on what love is because it really is not measurable.

Some think “love is hard” when in fact love is very simple. Love is always in front of you, but you need to open your eyes to see it!

To me, “being” in love is:

-holding your lovers hand
-cooking a meal
-morning kisses
-goodnight kisses
-serving him/her food
-watching a certain movie you’re NOT into just to be next to him/her
-drinking coffee together
-going to parties together
-going to the movies together
-listening to them
-showing them your craft
-crying on their shoulder
-holding them when their sad, stressed or overwhelmed
-smiling at him/her
-dancing goofy together
-laughing together
-making up after a fight
-surprising them with a gift
-giving a massage
-taking them on a date
-being patient

Love is everywhere. We give love freely throughout our day to our lovers, our families and even to strangers. Love can overpower negativity in a second.

Today,  choose love. Be love. See love.

Love,

Teeth Clenching Love

Image

Tied down to my world of two,
Heart fearing for all they do,
Tears of joy from little words,
“I love you” as they blow in through….

Heart tension from the needy two,
Blown apart for all they do,
Smiles of joy and laughter of love
Yes, yes, that will do!

Clinging fingers up my tired spine,
Screaming voices is all I find,
Hearts full of love, I can’t complain,
Innocence built on my tireless mind.

What would I do, without you two?
Life would be amazing, but sorry too!
Driving me nuts, is what you do,
But loving you, will continue through.

As time passes, days get better,
You learn to obey and play in good weather,
As much as it pains me to be your mother,
I am so grateful, this life with you.

Parents go through, trials and triumphs,
Being your parent is nothing to screw,
You were sent my way, by the gardens of eve,
I will love you forever and I shall let it be…

I was chosen to be this wondrous Mum,
It is teeth clenching, but worth all the hums!
This life is worth more, than you’ll ever know!
The ridden is here, the triumphs are trialed,

And, I love you two my wonderful dears!
I will love you today, tomorrow and forever all my days!!
